Concepto: es un sitio web  que incluye, a modo de diario personal  de su autor o autores, contenidos de su interés, actualizados con frecuencia y a menudo comentados por los lectores.¹

Sirve como publicación en línea de historias con una periodicidad muy alta, que son presentadas en orden cronológico inverso, es decir, lo más reciente que se ha publicado es lo primero que aparece en la pantalla. Es muy frecuente que los blogs dispongan de una lista de enlaces a otros blogs, a páginas para ampliar información, citar fuentes o hacer notar que se continúa con un tema que empezó otro blog.

Características Principales:

• Hipermedia. Los artículos pueden contener texto, enlaces, imágenes, audios, vídeos, animaciones flash, etc.

• Facilidad. El blog proporciona un interfaz para administrar sus contenidos, coordinar, borrar o reescribir los artículos, moderar los comentarios de los lectores, etc. de una forma casi tan sencilla como administrar el correo electrónico.

• Organización cronológica. Los artículos se ordenan de forma cronológica mostrando primero los artículos más recientes.

• Búsquedas. Los blogs proporcionan herramientas que facilitan la búsqueda de entradas a partir de un término, fecha, autor, etc.

• Metadatos. Las etiquetas o palabras clave asignadas a un artículo contribuyen a la organización temática de la información facilitando su posterior búsqueda.

• Comentarios. La posibilidad de que los lectores envíen sus comentarios permite establecer un interesante flujo de debate en torno a los artículos publicados.

• Suscripción. La suscripción RSS o Atom a los artículos y comentarios de un blog permiten disponer de las últimas novedades publicadas en el navegador web o lector de noticias sin necesidad de acceder directamente a ese sitio web.

• Enlaces inversos. También llamados trackbacks permiten conocer si alguien desde su blog ha enlazado a una entrada publicada en nuestro blog viceversa. Si así se configura los trackback pueden aparecer junto a los comentarios de un artículo.

• Integración. Los blogs permiten mostrar incrustados en sus páginas recursos multimedia alojados en servicios web 2.0: imágenes, audios, vídeos, etc.

Funciones:

1.       Permitir que se suscriban a nuestro blog. Lo más común para esto es usar el servicio de Google FeedBurner. Sin embargo, se sugiere que utilicemos un servicio de auto respondedor, de esa forma no solo nuestros suscriptores podrán estar al tanto cada vez que publicamos algo en nuestro blog, sino también podremos gestionar nuestras listas y hacer el debido seguimiento a las mismas.

2.      Permitir dejar comentarios. Es muy importante dejar que nuestros lectores se expresen, hasta incluso podemos usar algunos de los plugins que ofrecen varias redes sociales (como Facebook). Así, cada comentario dejado en nuestro sitio también puede verse en el perfil de la persona que lo escribe, generando esto un efecto “viral” entre el resto de sus contactos.

3.      Marcadores sociales. Básicamente, este es el medio más rápido para difundir nuestro material entre diversos sitios. Cada vez que alguien hace “clic” sobre este botón, nuestro post es “disparado” a decenas de directorios por todas partes.

4.       Página de contacto. Es importante permitir que nuestros lectores puedan contactarnos, y más importante aún es    que respondamos a esos mensajes. De lo contrario no vamos a dar una “buena imagen” ni a generar confianza actuando de ese modo.

5.      Políticas de Privacidad. Contar con políticas de uso claras y definidas en nuestro sitio servirá en buena medida para evitar “malos entendidos”. Vale recordar que si usamos el programa Adsense de Google, es altamente recomendable que contemos con una página donde se detalle claramente la forma en que opera nuestro sitio web.

Ventajas y Desventajas:

Ventajas:

·                     Es un entorno estructurado y presenta información de variados temas

·                     Es un sistema simple y económico de exponer ideas y redefinir conceptos, también de publicitar.

·                     El administrador es quien decide publicar los comentarios que crea pertinentes y que no afectan el propósito del mismo.

·                     Gasto cero: No pagamos ni la transferencia, ni el registro de dominio, es todo gratis.

·                     Respaldo: Por ejemplo si estamos en blogger todo el sistema se encuentra respaldado por Google, en este caso muy difícilmente tendremos problemas de backups, servers caídos, etc.

·                     Una de las más importantes es que se puede divulgar mucha información seria y confiable

·                     Su sistema es muy importante ya que el autor puede restringir la información.

·                     Otra ventaja muy importante es que su autor o administrador toma la decisión de publicar los comentarios más importantes.

·                     Son muy ventajosos porque puedes encontrar mucha gente interesante.

Desventajas:

·                     Muchas veces, el administrador ahoga el espacio con demasiada información, o sea que la misma queda restringida al autor, con lo cual aparece un uso lineal y abusivo de temas y otros que demuestra un uso desvirtuado o no adecuado de las herramientas. 

·                     Deben estar en constante actualización o si no desaparecen.

·                     Problemas para migrar: Si empezamos nuestro blog en blogger y luego queremos pasarnos a wordpress tendremos varias trabas y por lo general hacer una migración es bastante engorroso

·                     Frustración: puede darse el caso de la falta de interés ya sea de ti o de parte de los lectores no siempre es fácil crear contenido relevante y esto puede llegar a ser frustrarte.

Different kinds of pollution

Water pollution. is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater). This form of environmental degradation occurs whenpollutants are directly or indirectly discharged into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.

Air pollution. is the introduction of particulates, biological molec

ules, or other harmful materials into Earth's atmosphere, causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as food crops, or the natural or built environment. Air pollution may come from anthropogenic or natural sources. 

The atmosphere is a complex natural gaseous system that is essential to support life on planet Earth. Stratospheric ozone depletion due to air pollution has been recognized as a threat to human health as well as to the Earth's ecosystems

Noise pollution or noise disturbance is the disturbing or excessive noise that may harm the activity or balance of human or animal life. The source of most outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines and transportation systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, and trains.^[3][4] Outdoor noise is summarized by the word environmental noise. Poor urban planning may give rise to noise pollution, since side-by-side industrial and residential buildings can result in noise pollution in the residential areas.

Indoor noise can be caused by machines, building activities, and music performances, especially in some workplaces. Noise-induced hearing loss can be caused by outside (e.g. trains) or inside (e.g. music) noise.

High noise levels can contribute to cardiovascular effects in humans and an increased incidence of coronary artery disease. In animals, noise can increase the risk of death by altering predator or prey detection and avoidance, interfere with reproduction and navigation, and contribute to permanent hearing loss
